We’re absolutely stoked with the mural now stretching across the side of Northshore. This artwork came to life thanks to EA Games, who commissioned the piece to launch their latest Skate game release. It’s bold, it’s eye-catching, and it speaks directly to our surf & skate crowd.
The timing couldn’t have been better. The mural went up during the UK Surf & Skate Expo (12-14 September 2025 in Newquay, Cornwall) a three-day celebration of surf, skate, stories and community. With a huge attending over the weekend, the Expo features a multi-venue setup: the Expo Village (a 7,000m² open area with vendors, food & drink, a marquee, outdoor skate park and a giant 40ft film screen), the Expo Hall (indoor venue next to Village for talks, panel discussions, awards and more), plus Concrete Waves Skate Park & the Beach.
Highlights at the Expo include keynote talks (Hugo Tagholm, Shaun Tomson, Andrew “Cotty” Cotton), vintage surf & skate Meet & Swap, skate & BMX demos, an 80’s-inspired bowl contest, “Evening with Tony Alva”, surf film nights, wellness and workshop sessions, and more — all adding to the atmosphere across town.
Huge props to Mural Republic, the talented artists who painted our wall. Their skill and experience really shows and even the close ups of the wall look fantastic.
